Horse riding by the sea for beginners & kids. One hour or longer

Is it your first time on a horse? Or do you want to ride with your kids? We offer tours for all levels. Our horses are very well trained. We make sure you feel safe and have a fun ride.

Horse riding day trekking.

Enjoy a beautiful day trekking along the beaches and cliffs of Southwest Alentejo. We offer various routes. It’s also possible to experience the authentic little fishermen’s towns around Cavaleiro. Suggested route: Vila Nova de Milfontes until Cavaleiro. Or Cavaleiro-Odeceixe

3-day trekking + accommodation and food

Always dreamed of a multi-day horseback riding trekking? Ride through the authentic villages of Portugal into the countryside and discover the hidden pearls of Southwest Alentejo. Intermediate level of horseriding is required. Contact us for more information and prices.

Getting comfortable with horses and practice preparation for trekkings

Do you first want to learn the basics of horseriding? Come and practice in our beautiful horse paddock. A safe place to get to know the horse and feeling of horseriding.

Working equitation

Work Equitation is my passion, blending dressage, obstacle navigation, and cattle handling into a unified bond between horse and rider. Additionally, I train young and/or traumatized horses, and you’re welcome to train with us.

About us

Filipe Serralha

Filipe is born and raised in the rural areas of Alentejo. Meaning that all his life he has been outside in connection with the elements. Training horses and making sure people are safe are his second nature. He intuitively trains his horses with lots of respect, patience, and dedication. In that same manner he teaches people how to ride and treat the horses.

How to find us?

The horse stables are situated in Cavaleiro, near the lighthouse.

Cavaleiro is a coastal town that lies in the southwest region of Alentejo-Portugal.

Upon entering Cavaleiro, make your way toward the lighthouse. Take a right turn onto a dirt road approximately 800 meters before reaching the lighthouse.
